Freedom is waking up and having a choice about what I am going to do today. It is not having the fear of IED's going off as I shop, my children being ripped from my arms and pressed into service or worse...it is being able to worship at the church of my choice and grilling hotdogs in my backyard while the American flag gently blows in the breeze. Freedom is remembering and honoring our military, not just during wartime, but ALL the time, and being thankful for their dedication, bravery, and integrity. I am a military brat, my father an air force veteran of Vietnam. I am also awaiting the return of a very brave soldier now serving in Iraq. Both men are humble in their duty but it is through their quiet strength that I see the true measure of freedom. Our country has problems, but together, because of our FREEDOM to make choices, we can make her as strong as she ever was. God Bless America and our troops serving overseas!!!
Chuck Marsh Chuck Marsh talks about the risks our service men and women take daily just to allow us the personal freedoms we sometimes take for granted.
Leanne Petty Leanne says that patriotism is a learned trait, and parents need to instill this in their children to carry on the pride for America.
