8/30/08: Benefit Ride for Jessie Keaton
Benefit ride for Jessie Keaton and her mother.  Jessie is a little girl who fell off a tractor and was run over by a bushhog. Her mom is fighting breast cancer. 
Registration is at 10am; Ride leaves from Boonville Town Hall at 11am. 
Cost: $10/single, $20/double.
9/6/08: "Ride United" for United Way of Rockingham County
"Ride United" motorcycle ride to benefit United Way of Rockingham County and its funded agencies.

Registration begins @ 9am at Wolf Creek Harley Davidson in Reidsville.  $20 for the first rider, $5 for a second rider.  Ride leaves @ 11am with Sheriff Sam Page taking the lead.  The ride will visit five United Way agencies.

9/13/08: Poker Run for Carrie Tripp
All proceeds benefit the family of Carrie Tripp, a Crown Honda employee and single mother of three who has been battling cancer for 5 years.

Registration/check-in: 10:30-11:45am at Crown Honda of Greensboro, 3633 W. Wendover Ave.  Bikes leave @ 12 noon.
Cost: $15 per rider in advance, $20 day of ride.  Best poker hand wins!  50/50 & prize drawings.  Hot dogs, baked goods & beverages available.  Ride ends at Arizona Pete's, where the Michael Ken Band will perform at 7pm.

No bike? No problem! Participants may ride or follow in cars along the route!

9/13/08: 4th annual Jeremy Wilson Life Trust Poker Run
Ride through the southern Alamance countryside!  Registration noon - 1pm; ride leaves at 1pm from The Other Place, 1453 Industry Dr., Burlington.  $15/rider.  Best hand at the end of the ride wins!  50/50 raffle & door prizes.  FREE chicken dinner for all riders.  Music at The Other Place, 4 - 9pm, featuring Jive Mother Mary.  Info:  call Kathy James 336-213-2378.
9/20/08: 2nd Annual Keri's Ride for ALS
Meet at 9am.  Ride begins at Wild Wing Cafe (off Hanes Mall Blvd. in Winston-Salem).  Ride to Hanging Rock and back to Wild Wing Cafe to raise funds for Keri B. Still Conference on ALS.  Keri died January 13, 2008, of Lou Gehrig's disease.

Minimum donation $25/single; $35/double.  50/50 raffle, live music, food & more.  Click on the headline above for more info.
9/20/08: Johnny Pait Memorial Ride
Registration at 9am; ride leaves at 11am from Cox's Harley-Davidson in Asheboro.  Ends at 3pm at Riders in the Country, Randleman, NC.  $20/rider; $30/doubles.  Door prizes, 50/50, music, food & drink.  Info:  contact Traci Roberts 336-736-7870, Kim Webb at 336-253-8736, or Annie Cooper at 336-708-1681.

Rain date is September 21st.

Johnny Pait passed away last December, leaving behind a wife and two children.  Money raised will go to college funds that have been established for his children.
9/20/08: 2nd annual Ride for the Rescuers
In memory of Layne Creed.  Proceeds go to Surry County Rescuers.

Registration 10am - noon at Goobers 52, US 52 in Mount Airy.  Departure at 12 noon SHARP!  End at B-52's Bar & Grill. You can play a poker hand or just ride!  Cars, trucks, jeeps and motorcycles all welcome.  If you don't want to ride, donations will be accepted.  Rain date: Sept. 21st.
